I'd like to build something like the Personal Sound to Light unit, but I would like to have it control more LEDs. (article link)

The idea would be to make it into a party light for home use. I would use a 9V DC power supply (like a wall-wart from some other 9V device) and hopefully each frequency filter would be used to control three (or more?) ultra-bright LEDs.

I'm a beginner, and this is definitely one of the more complicated circuits I've tried to play with. I haven't built the one in the article yet, as I'm just getting started on this project, but I'm going to order some parts and prototype it.

In the meantime, I'm wondering if you guys would have suggestions on what I would have to change in the circuit for it to handle more LEDs.'
