360 Deg Birds Eye View Parking Aid

HI, I'm new to the forum here but been an Elektor reader on and off since the 1980s and an electronics constructor for around 50 years.

Does anyone have any information on a diy version of the recently introduced 360 Deg birds eye view parking aids. These use 4 small video cameras mounted front and back and under each door mirror. The images are stitched together in a video processor then displayed on the cars dash screen. My sons new Volvo has this as standard and it's amazing- no more kerb rash.

I have found a few Chinese versions on e-bay but It would make a great Elektor project. I have also found a range of processing chips from Fujitsu type MB86R11 /MB86R12 Wrap around video imaging technology which is a SoC device specifically designed for this application.

I would be keen to know if this has been featured in Elektor or if anyone else has a system like this in development.
